What is it?
German for Italian speakers. If you speak Italian, this is where you learn German: a card box with spaced repetition, a study timer with a chime, and speech output that speaks German.
Nouns come with their article and it is learned along with them — in German the article belongs to the word and cannot be guessed.
The app's interface is entirely in Italian. If you speak English, Learn German is the one for you.
How it works
- Choose a section: vocabulary, set phrases, martial arts or music.
- Read the card, judge yourself, turn it over.
- Tap for pronunciation — it comes from your device's German voice.
- Set the study timer when good intentions should become a session.
The music section brings 32 German and Austrian classics from 1939 to 2015 — from “Lili Marleen” to “Ham kummst”: for each song the translated title, an original description in Italian and about ten key words. No lyrics are stored.
Who is it for?
For Italian speakers learning German — and for German-speaking parents, clubs and coaches who want to recommend an app whose interface the learner can actually read.
The martial-arts section is meant for karateka training in Austria or Germany.

Privacy and technology
Runs entirely in your browser. Your progress stays on your device and is sent nowhere — no account, no sign-up, no ads, no tracking. The share menu puts the app on your home screen; after that it works without an internet connection as well.
Because nothing sits on a server, nothing can be fetched back from one: clear your browser data and your progress is gone. That is why More offers Create backup — a file you can keep and load again, on another device too.
Common questions
Is the app in German or in Italian?
The interface is entirely in Italian — it is for people who do not speak German yet. What is learned is German, and the speech output speaks German.
How does it differ from “Learn German”?
Only in the source language. Learn German has an English interface and a different vocabulary — with the phrasal-verb and false-friend sections that exist only for English speakers.
Why is the article given with the nouns?
Because der, die and das belong to the word in German and cannot be derived. Not learning them means learning the word twice.
What happens to my progress if I clear my browser?
It is gone — there is no server to fetch it back from. Safari clears a website's storage after seven days without a visit anyway. That is why every app here has Create backup: keep the file, load it again later, on another device if you like.
